Brigadier General Anslow was born February 16, 1967, in Troy, New York. She was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers at West Point, New York on 24 May 1989. She received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography from the United States Military Academy in 1989, a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock in 1997, a Master of Science Degree in Water Resource Planning from Johns Hopkins University in 2005 and a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College in 2009.

Brigadier General Anslow began her military career at Ft. Bragg, NC where she served as a Platoon Leader with the 100th Topographic Engineer Company and deployed with the 20th Airborne Engineer Brigade in 1990 during the Gulf War. She later served as Adjutant of the 30th Engineer Battalion before transitioning to the Arkansas Army National Guard in 1993.

In the Arkansas Army National Guard she has served in a variety of construction, facility, and combat engineer command and staff positions with the Camp Robinson Institute Support Unit, the 25th Rear Operations Center, the 875th Engineer Battalion (C) (M), the 87th Troop Command, and served as Deputy Chief of Staff for Engineering in the Joint Force Headquarters. She deployed as commander of the 875th Engineer Battalion in support of OIF 06-08 for the 411th and 20th Engineer Brigades. During the ‘Surge Operation’, the Battalion also served as Task Force Engineers for the 3rd Infantry Division. She commanded the 87th Troop Command from July 2010 until her promotion to Brigadier General effective June 22, 2012. She served as the Joint Force Headquarters Commander, Assistant Adjutant General-Army (ATAG) from July 12, 2012 to October 1, 2013. Effective October 1, 2013, she began her assignment as the Arkansas National Guard Army Commander. On March 1, 2014, she began the additional duty of a dual-hat assignment as the Deputy Commanding General, First Army, Division East.

Patricia Anslow began her civilian career for the Little Rock District, US Army Corps of Engineers in 1994 and currently serves as the Chief of the Planning and Environmental Division.
