Combined Air Assault 2-3 SBCT and ROK 1st Infantry Division
2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA- Republic of Korea and U.S. troops held a joint air assault drill March 11, 2025 at Twin Bridge Training Complex near Paju, South Korea.

About 400 troops from ROK 1st Infantry Division and the U.S. 2nd Infantry Division/ROK-U.S. Combined Division, 1-2 Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Battalion, 3rd Infantry Regiment took part in the combined exercise led by South Korean forces in Paju.

The training involved ROK and U.S. forces air assaulting into the Twin Bridge Training Complex and establishing a control base to secure the landing zone. After which the combined forces synchronized their communications and conducted movement towards their combined objectives.

Mission: 
189th IN BDE (CATB) observes, coaches, and trains our ARNG and USAR partners to provide trained and ready units to support combatant commander requirements around the world. O/O, conduct Mobilization and Large Scale Mobilization Operations (LSMO) in support of our ARNG and USAR partners to meet combatant commander OPLAN requirements.
Vision: 
Our purpose is to support First Army’s mission to achieve FORSCOM directed readiness and deliver trained and ready NG and RC forces. We accomplish this through partnership with the National Guard and US Army Reserve as FORSCOM’s proponent for the integration of the Army’s Total Force Policy (ATFP) and execution of Mobilization Training Centers (MTC) operations as part of the Army’s LSMO effort.
