Command Sergeant Major Robert M. Preusser

Command Sergeant Major Robert M. Preusser Jr. was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on 5 September 1975. CSM Preusser graduated Belton High School, Belton, TX in 1994, joined the US Army in May 1995 as an Infantryman (11B), and attended One Station Unit Training in C Co. 1-38th IN at Fort Benning, Georgia.

CSM Preusser’s assignments include Squad Automatic Rifleman and Team Leader to B Co., 1st Sqdn, 9th CAV (MECH), 1st CAV DIV; RTO, Scout, Senior Scout and Assistant Team Leader in E Co. 52nd IN (ABN)(LRSC), Ft. Hood, TX; Rifleman, Grenadier, Team Leader, and Squad Leader in B Co. 2nd Bn, 5th IN, 25th ID (LI), Schofield Barracks, HI. He has earned a Bachelor’s of Science-Criminal Justice Administration as well as a Master’s of Science-Organizational Leadership.

CSM Preusser’s six deployments include Operation Intrinsic Action / Desert Strike-Kuwait from August 1996 to December 1996, Operation Noble Eagle/Joint Endeavor-Bosnia from September 2001 to March 2002, Operation Enduring Freedom-Kandahar, Afghanistan from July 2003 to May 2004, Operation Iraqi Freedom Baghdad, Iraq from August 2005 to July 2006 and Operation Iraqi Freedom Tikrit, Iraq from September 2007 to October 2008 and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel and Resolute Support-Afghanistan (Bagram) from May 2016 – February 2017.

CSM Preusser is married to his wife Wendi, of Temple, Texas and has three children, Alyssa, Dylan, and Matthew.
