COL Richard J. Davis

Commander

Colonel Richard J. Davis is a native of Fayetteville, North Carolina. COL Davis received his commission as he graduated from Appalachian State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Promotion in 1998. He received his Master of Arts in Management and Leadership from Webster University. He earned a Master of Strategic Studies from the US Army War College.
 
COL Davis’ military education includes Infantry Officer Basic Course, Infantry Officer Captain’s Career Course, US Army Command and General Staff College, United States Army War College, Ranger School, Basic Airborne Course, Jumpmaster Course, and Air Assault Course.

COL Davis’ awards and decorations include the Army Meritorious Unit Commendation, Bronze Star Medal (3OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), Army Commendation Medal (2OLC). He has also earned the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Ranger Tab, Senior Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge. COL Davis has also been inducted into the Infantry Order of St. Maurice and awarded the Czechoslovakian Parachutist Badge.
