CSM Eric D. Lowery

Senior Enlisted Advisor

Command Sergeant Major Eric D. Lowery is a native of Carrabelle, Florida. He enlisted in the U.S. Army on August 20, 1998, as an Armor Crewman. He attended One Station Unit Training at Ft. Knox, Kentucky, and graduated from the Excellence in Armor (EIA) program. 
 
CSM Lowery’s previous assignments include: Tank Loader, Tank Driver, Tank Gunner, Tank Commander, Platoon Sergeant, and First Sergeant with 1st Battalion, 64th Armored Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia; Tank Gunner and Tank Commander, 2nd Battalion, 72nd Armored Regiment, 1st Infantry Division, Camp Casey, Korea; Brigade Master Gunner, 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia; First Sergeant and Deputy Commandant, 7th Army NCO Academy, Grafenwoehr, Germany; Brigade Master Gunner/Operations NCOIC, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas; Operations Sergeant Major, 1st Battalion, 77th Armored Regiment, 3rd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas; Command Sergeant Major, 1st Battalion, 37th Armored Regiment, 2nd Armored Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division, Fort Bliss, Texas; and most recently Squadron Command Sergeant Major, 3rd Squadron, 2nd Security Force Assistance Brigade, Fort Liberty, North Carolina.
 
CSM Lowery has deployed to Bosnia in support of SFOR 8; to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom III, V, and Operation New Dawn; to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom; and to Kuwait in support of Operation Inherent Resolve. He has held numerous leadership positions which include Tank Gunner, Tank Commander, and Master Gunner at the Company, Battalion, and Brigade level; Platoon Sergeant, First Sergeant, Deputy Commandant, Brigade Operations NCOIC, Battalion Operations Sergeant Major, Battalion Command Sergeant Major, and Squadron Command Sergeant Major.
 
CSM Lowery’s military education includes Basic Leader Course; Advanced Leader Course; Senior Leader Course (Leadership Award & Commandant’s List); M1A1/M1A2 Master Gunner Course; Unit Conduct of Fire (UCOF) Trainer/Instructor; Battle Staff Course; and Master Resilience Course. He is also a graduate of the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class # 68 (Commandants List).  
 
CSM Lowery’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (2 OLC), the Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (3 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), Army Good Conduct Medal (6th award), National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal (1 Star), Iraqi Campaign Medal (5 Stars), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Korean Defense Service Medal, Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon (5th Award),  Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Ribbon (Numeral 6), NATO Medal (2nd Award), Combat Action Badge, Drivers Badge (Wheel/Track), German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge (Silver), and the German Armed Forces Marksmanship Badge (Gold). He was awarded the Draper Armor Leadership Award while with 3rd Infantry Division in 2013.
 
CSM Lowery has three sons, Nyheim, Jalen, and Ayden.
