First Sergeant David L. Harrell was born in Brownwood, TX. He enlisted in the United States Army in 2006 out of Brownwood, TX, and completed Basic Combat Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and Advanced Individual Training as a Joint Fire Support Specialist at Fort Sill, OK.

First Sergeant Harrell has deployed three times in support of the Global War on Terrorism, Iraq 2007-2008, Afghanistan 2010-2011, and Afghanistan 2012-2013
