The 285th Civil Engineering Squadron celebrates it's 40th Anniversary, Thursday, May 7, 2020.

On May 7, 1980 the Virgin Islands National Guard created a component, the 285th Combat Communication Flight with 1st Lt. John V. Watley as the first commander. As the force continues to receive recognition for its groundbreaking creation, the men and women of the Virgin Islands Air Guard exceeds mandates and remains poised to stay ready to serve the citizens of the State and Nation.
