Soldiers from Apache, Bandit and Charlie Troop, 6th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Cavalry Division, conducted their Mortar Evaluation Program, or MORTEP, certifying the troops on tactical tasks and ability to deliver precision fires on Dec. 17, 2024, at Fort Cavazos, Texas. These Indirect Fire Infantrymen, 11C, or mortarmen, utilize the M120 Mortar System with the M931, 120mm, practice round during the MORTEP. (US Army video by 1st Lt.
